As the Secretariat of STMA, Central Administration Department is responsible for support services and managing the general administration of the District Assembly.

Major activities

Central Administration major areas of management and coordination responsibility include the following: Records, Estate, Development Planning, Budgeting & Rating administration, and other General administrative tasks.

CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION – OFFICES OF THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE, MAYOR & COORDINATING DIRECTOR

In order to obtain a meeting with the Chief Executive and/or Mayor:

  • Provide your name, contact details and a brief description of your inquiry with the Secretary of the Chief Executive & Mayor
    • 8:30AM – 1PM: STMA Staff appointments only
    • 1PM – 5PM: Personal/community appointments

    In order to obtain a meeting with the Coordinating Director:
  • Provide your name, contact details and a brief description of your inquiry with the Secretary of the Coordinating Director
    • 9AM-5PM: STMA Staff and Community appointments

    CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION – DEVELOPMENT PLANNING

    About:

    The Development Planning Department coordinates development programs and projects of the District Assembly. This effort requires the preparation of annual action plans from the 4-year Medium Term Development Plan and the consolidation of the Annual Action Plans from all of the Assembly’s Departments.

    Major activities:

  • 1. Ensures efficacy in operational processes between the District Assembly and Legislative Assembly Members

  • 2. Prepares quarterly and annual action plan reports for all District Assembly departments (reports are forwarded to the Regional Coordinating Council and National Development Planning Commission)

  • 3. Monitors and evaluates District projects and programs against program targets

  • 4. Coordinates all Non-Governmental Agency operational requirements after agencies have completed requisite registration processes at the regional and/or national level(s)

  • 5. Provides summaries of all District Assembly and Non-Governmental Agency projects to community members.
