The Finance Department ensures sound financial management of the District’s affairs, manages revenue generation activities and ensures that new businesses are properly registered.

Major activities:

  • 1. Manages the Districts funds and coordinates accounts between the District and Central Government

  • 2. Advises the District on financial matters and keeps relevant records

  • 3. Issues transactional payments to agencies and vendors

  • 4. Accounts for rates, fees, fines and licenses due to the District from the general public
