NACOC Director Pays a Courtesy Call to Mayor of Sekondi-Takoradi

The Western Regional Commander of Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), SNCO Issac Badu, has paid a working visit to the Mayor of Sekondi-Takoradi, Hon. Abdul-Mumin Issah, at his office in Sekondi. Mr. Badu took over the Western Command of the commission in March this year from the central region, where he served as the regional commander for five years. The Mayor assured him of the city authority's commitment to support him fulfil his mandate in the Metropolis. He advised him to collaborate with the Ghana Navy and the Marine Division of the Ghana Police Service to prevent the smuggling of narcotics through the high seas with fishing canoes and boats. He further advised the commission to extend its education campaign on substance abuse among adolescents to other areas in the Metropolis, including the Sekondi European Town and Railway Station. He promised the Assembly’s readiness to collaborate with the commission for special operations to arrest and prosecute illicit drug dealers in the Metropolis. Mr. Issac Badu thanked the mayor and promised to do his best to improve the situation he inherited. He expressed his readiness to work together with the Assembly to serve the country.
