The Finance Department ensures sound financial management of the District’s affairs, manages revenue generation activities and ensures that new businesses are properly registered. .

MAJOR ACIVITIES

Manages the Districts funds and coordinates accounts between the District and Central Government.
Advises the District on financial matters and keeps relevant records.
Issues transactional payments to agencies and vendors.
Accounts for rates, fees, fines and licenses due to the District from the general public.
Participates in District Assembly road planning processes.
Issues Business Operating Permits.
