Mr.Edward Quartey Head Of Department

The Legal Department is responsible for providing legal services to District Departments and Executive Branches. The Department also provides services to the community concerning marriages and basic legal matters.

MAJOR ACIVITIES

Provides legal support services to the following District entities:
General Assembly
Executive Committee & associated sub-committees
Departments
Sub-Metropolitan District Councils
Town Councils
Unit Committees
Prepares bylaws, contracts and agreements
Represents Metropolis in courts
Conducts the registration of all marriages in the Metropolis
Services complaints and claims for compensation
Supervises criminal prosecutions in Courts
