The quest to provide essential facilities to schools in the hinterlands to ensure access and quality education delivery at all levels in the Metropolis has compelled the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) to provide a 3-Bedroom Teachers’ Accommodation for the Mberdane M/A Basic School. At the handing over ceremony, the Metropolitan Chief Executive, Hon. Abdul-Mumin Issah noted that the complete provision of educational facilities as well as teaching and learning materials is a morale booster for teachers to give their best. He said it was for such reason that STMA thought it prudent to provide accommodation to give teachers posted to the community a decent stay to be able to help the student in that stretch.

He further pointed out that government as well as the Assembly would continue to prioritize educational development by providing the needed infrastructure for improved educational system. In a related development, the Assembly presented to the pupils of Ntaamakrom Model M/A School Classroom Furniture to augment their stock. The presentation will enable the school cater for the inadequate furniture situation at the school. The two projects were funded from th District Development Fund (DDF), it begun in April 2022 and ended in July 2023 at the cost of GH¢401,394.09.
