Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly receive donations from corporate institutions towards the massive clean up exercise scheduled for Saturday 6th May, 2017, across the Metropolis. The exercise is intended to avert incidents of flooding that are recorded at some parts of the Metropolis during the raining season. Accordingly, the exercise will be characterized by desilting of drains, weeding, picking of discarded polythene materials etc. Meanwhile, the Assembly is encouraging, corporate institutions, youth groups, religious bodies and community leaders to to actively participate in the exercise by cleaning their surroundings and neighborhood. Furthermore, institutions/organizations are entreated to collectively organise clean up exercise at any chosen location within the Metropolis. The Waste Management Dept. of the Assembly will offer the necessary support to institutions, groups/associations who wish to partake in the exercise as a group..
