Management of Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) has received the preliminary report of the Sustainable Energy Access and Climate Action Plan (SEACAP) from the Consultant, PSS Urbania. The Covenant of Mayors for Sub-Saharan Africa (CoM SSA) is assisting the STMA, to develop a SEACAP for the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis. The SEACAP will serve as a strategic blueprint, outlining tangible measures across three fundamental pillars: climate mitigation, adaptation, and access to sustainable energy. It will delineate specific actions, accompanied by defined timeframes and allocated responsibilities, translating long-term sustainability goals into actionable steps. To facilitate the realisation of this vision, GIZ, as the operational implementer of CoM SSA in Ghana, in collaboration with STMA, engaged the consultant for the SEACAP.
