Staff Of STMA Receive Training in Smart Workplace Systems
by STMA / Nov 18th, 2024 /

In a move towards transitioning to Smart Workplace Systems, the Office of the Head of Local Government Service (OHLGS) has organized training for staff of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) to introduce a new system. The system aims to reduce reliance on printed materials and promote digitalization within Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies. Opening the training session, Mr. Innocent Haligah, the Metropolitan Coordinating Director, noted that the training will equip staff with the necessary skills to use the system effectively. As the first Assembly in the Western Region to undergo the training, STMA will benefit from the features of the application that make work delivery smoother and more efficient.

Mr. Alex Acquah, a team member from E-Solutions, the consulting firm responsible for the training, explained that the workplace system is a virtual platform designed to make work faster, more reliable, and more efficient. He shared that the virtual platform, already in use at OHLGS, has eliminated the need for printing and photocopying of documents. Mr. Acquah encouraged the staff to actively use the platform and share their experiences for future updates and improvements. The training included demonstrations on how to schedule online meetings and create teams, among other features. Mr. Acquah also advised participants to create private teams and add members as necessary to prevent unauthorized access. After the session, staff members expressed their eagerness to implement the system and were optimistic that it would enhance service delivery.
