Avangarde Designs Services and Contracta Construzioni Italia S.R.L, the consultant and contractor for the reconstruction of the Takoradi Market Circle project, respectively, have paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor Sekondi-Takoradi to provide an update on the project. The visit forms part of renewed efforts to resume work on the project, which has been suspended since March 2023 due to financial challenges.

During the meeting, the team presented the project's current status and outlined measures to accelerate progress. The Mayor, Hon. Frederick F. Faidoo, emphasized that the Takoradi Market Circle is of critical economic and social importance to the city, and its delayed completion has significantly impacted traders and businesses in the Metropolis.

He, therefore, expressed appreciation for the update and reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to working closely with the relevant sector ministries through the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC) to ensure the timely completion of the market, which remains a key infrastructure priority for the Metropolis.
