HON. PATRICK BREMBOH RE-ELECTED PRESIDING MEMBER OF STMA

Hon. Patrick Bremboh, Assembly Member for Adiembra electoral area, has been re-elected as the Presiding Member of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) for a second two-year term. His re-election took place during the two-day First Ordinary Meeting of the Third Session of the Ninth Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, currently being held in Sekondi from Tuesday, April 21 to Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Hon. Bremboh secured an overwhelming endorsement from Assembly Members, polling 50 “yes” against 2 “no” votes, reflecting strong confidence in his leadership and stewardship as the youngest member of the Assembly to occupy the office.

In his acceptance remarks, Hon. Bremboh expressed profound gratitude to members of the Assembly for renewing his mandate. He pledged to continue working diligently in the interest of the Assembly and their constituents, with a focus on promoting unity and advancing development across the metropolis. “I am deeply honoured by the confidence reposed in me. I assure you of my commitment to continue working with all stakeholders to ensure the total development of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis,” he stated.

The Mayor of Sekondi-Takoradi also congratulated Hon. Bremboh on his re-election, describing it as well-deserved. He expressed optimism that the Presiding Member would build on his previous achievements and contribute significantly to the Assembly’s development agenda during the new term.

The ongoing meeting also reconstituted the executive committee and sub-committees of the Assembly. The meeting is expected to discuss critical issues affecting the growth and development of the metropolis, as well as review the Assembly’s performance.
